-Preparation of Christmas pageant, December 25, 2003
A malagasy christmas pageant will be held entirely in malagasy. We invite all kids and their parents to participate on this event. A play of Christ nativity will be performed by the kids, some speeches goes along. If you like your kids being part of the christmas pageant, we requests you to communicate their name to the following persons:

Rehearsals are scheduled for the following dates:
- November 22, 2003 at Second presbyterian Church Elizabeth from 3:00 to 6:00 PM.
- December 6, 2003 at Second presbyterian Church Elizabeth from 3:00 to 6:00 PM.
- November 13, 2003 at Second presbyterian Church Elizabeth from 3:00 to 6:00 PM.
- November 20, 2003 at Second presbyterian Church Elizabeth from 3:00 to 6:00 PM. It's the general rehearsal before the performance.
Rehearsal schedule is subject to a change according to the weather and the way the kids perfoms.
-"Kere" or Starvation in Madagascar deep south
One of the most challange facing Madagascar is the situation where people in the south endure every day. Those folks of Madagascar's south part is in starvation. The situation is almost cyclic every year. Ravalomanana's government tries to face the problem. This year the President call for help among malagasy community home and abroad. A telethon was done in Antananrivo recently. As a malagasy community abroad NY Mtelo will contribute to the fund raising. During the Independance day worship which be hold on 29 June 2003 we will collect offering for the "kere".
Our organisation about the donation is as follow:
All collected money will be proceeded to the ECLA's count USA. They will send the meoney directly to Malagasy's Lutherian Church. Malagasy Lutherian Church is involved in Kere's effort and work in Madagascar south part. Rev. Kevin Ogilvie, Living and working in Antananarivo, coordinator of all American's help, will be responsible of the money we send from NY Mtelo.
-Orphanage Home.

Because of the malagasy crisis, will feel that malagasy inside NY Mtelo have to move on and Help a community service in Madagascar. The committee organizing the worship purposes the following step:

We will help a social organization in Madagascar.
The targeted organization will be the Foster House in Tangaina, Antananarivo Madagascar.
A special offering will be held on June 29, 2002.
All gathered money will go to "Fitaizana zaza kamboty" Foster House of Tangaina.
This request is completed. A report is giving in last news section of this site.
-Aid for the "faculté de Théologie Ambatonakanga".

Mr. Samoela ANDRIANI is the accredited representant of FJKM’s Ambatonakanga Theological Seminary in United States. He is involved in finding ways to help the seminar and their students in Antananarivo. His actual move is to furnish the seminary’s Library of books. For that, he ask every one to bring in; old or new, Christian book or not and must be useful for the seminary; on 29^th June 2002, during the gathering day.

Mr. Samoela ANDRIANI will take necessary arrangement to send all gathered books to Madagascar. A plan is ongoing to ship angathered books with the Presbyterian Church USA, Synod of North-East later this year 2002 or earlier in 2003.
